Key Points:
First, aim to list 5-7 bullet points of the history of your character.
History:
Richard “Dick” Grayson began his life growing up in Haly’s Circus, with his parents, aunt, uncle, and older cousin, as well as the other circus performers and owner, Jack Haly. Dick and his family were acrobatic performers known as The Flying Graysons, renowned for their amazing trapeze act, especially the finale where they performed without a net. One day a crime boss by the name of Tony Zucco tried to extort money from Jack Haly, who refused to pay for “protection”. That night, Dick watched as the rest of his family performed the final act, like every night. But due to some tampering Zucco had done, the family fell to the ground, most of them meeting their deaths. The only survivor was Dick’s uncle, who was left paralyzed and unable to take care of Dick.
It was then that Dick received aid in the form of Bruce Wayne, who had experienced a similar tragedy before. Bruce took him into his family, and even began to train with Dick. With Bruce’s help, Dick was able to work through the grief of losing his family by teaching him the ways of crime-fighting and protecting the innocent, and eventually found Tony Zucco and brought him to justice. With that, Dick became Robin, the Boy Wonder.
At nine years old, Dick became the first sidekick to assist a major superhero. During the four years he continued to work with Batman, though, others began to appear; Speedy to Green Arrow, Kid Flash to the Flash, and Aqualad to Aquaman. He was able to meet each of the other sidekicks and befriend them during his time as Robin (though he grew closer to Kid Flash than the other two), especially when their mentors formed the superhero group known as the Justice League.
At thirteen, Robin and the other sidekicks were finally allowed to be brought to the Justice League headquarters where their mentors worked. What was supposed to be a proud day turned sour, however, when it was revealed the headquarters they were taken to was merely a front, and they were not allowed to see the League’s real headquarters. Resenting being treated like children, Robin along with Aqualad and Kid Flash went to investigate an incident at Cadmus Labs while the League was busy. There they discovered the true intentions of the lab, as well as the clone of Superman. Working together, they were able to take down Cadmus and liberate the clone, known as Superboy.
Proving they were worthy, they were able to create a covert ops team, joined with M’gann and Artemis later. The team would assist the Justice League behind the scenes, often going undercover while the older heroes took to the forefront of the battles. Despite the difficulty of some of their missions and some hardships along the way, the team performed impressively, even unknowingly stopping plans by a mysterious group called The Light, and assisting and even saving the League when the older heroes needed them.
Personality:
On the surface, it might surprise people that Robin was trained by the Batman, considering how they seem to contrast. While Batman is cold and serious, Robin is bright and cheerful. Even with the dangerous nature of crime-fighting, Robin seems to have a lot of fun doing what he does, and really enjoys the work he accomplishes. Even in the middle of a fight, he isn’t above a little laughter in the face of his enemies, or letting his laughter echo behind him as he disappears from sight. His lighthearted and friendly nature allows him to get along with both those who are older than him and those around his age. He’s very much like the little brother of his team, and is able to have fun and joke around with them, and even will poke fun and laugh at them if they make mistakes.
Despite being the youngest member of the team, though, Robin does have the most experience as a young superhero, having worked with Batman for four years before the formation of the team. Even at such a young age, the hardships he’s been through has developed in him a sense of maturity and responsibility that can be seen in many of his actions. He’s able to keep a cool head most of the time, even in the most stressful conditions, and his natural tactical ability helps him think ahead and create plans for the team on the spot. He’s a quick and logical thinker, able to figure out complex situations before many of his teammates and find solutions to dealing with many different problems. And Robin cares a lot for his teammates, and despite being the youngest of them he is quick to help and guide them when they need it.
There are times when Robin is eager, maybe even a little desperate, to prove himself; the biggest instance was showing Batman and the other members of the Justice League that he and the other younger heroes were ready to do things on their own. He also wanted to prove that he was meant to be leader of the team, due to his greater experience of working as a sidekick. However, when it became clear that he wasn’t ready to be leader just yet, Robin showed great wisdom by suggesting Aqualad should be leader instead. There were times he was still jealous of Aqualad’s position as leader, still wanting to become leader someday.
The strong desire to prove his capabilities is probably due to the fears he still has about himself. Living with families that were renowned for their courage, he at times is afraid that he isn’t as fearless as the people he grew and is growing up with. He fears that Batman won’t need him, and wonders why Batman would choose him as a partner instead of someone who is actually fearless. And as the youngest member of the team, he worries that the team won’t need him either. After a psychic mission simulation that went wrong, he also begins to fear taking the leader position, no longer eager to be leader of the team as he had been before. And while he once wanted to become Batman when he grew older, he now fears ever filling in for Batman because he doesn’t believe he is able to work the way Batman does.
Despite everything though, he is still willing to continue working as a hero. The teachings instilled by Batman to do what’s right, coupled with his own desire to help and protect people, has him still determined to keep pushing on with being Robin, no matter how difficult it might be.
Gem Considerations: Red Calcite. Red Calcite is said to ease and release fear, which would actually be fitting for Robin. Despite the dangers he's already faced and after a disastrous mission simulation, Robin actually has a lot of fears deep down. Red Calcite could help him deal with his fears, with its properties to help stabilize his will and inner strength for the path he's chosen as Robin.
Red Calcite is also said to assist with problem solving, and is helpful for warriors, or those who "do battle" in their lives. As a detective and a crime fighter, these would be both suitable and helpful to Robin.

List Three Powers You Would Like Your Character To Have:
Robin originally doesn't have any powers back home, so the absence of them won't affect him any differently than normal. Gaining powers of his own might surprise him initially; and while he's learned before to practice and use any advantages that he has, and will make sure to put his powers to good use, it will take a while to get used to having powers, when most of his fighting style was developed in the absence of them.

Key Points:
First, aim to list 5-7 bullet points of the history of your character.
- Richard "Dick" Grayson is born December 1 to John and Mary Grayson. Growing up in Haly's Circus, Dick became the youngest member of the Flying Graysons, the circus' family acrobatic act, performing with his parents, his aunt Karla and uncle Rick, and older cousin John.
- On April 1, when Dick is nine, his parents, aunt, and cousin die during a performance finale due to an "accident" caused by mob boss Tony Zucco. The only survivors are Dick, who did no perform in the routine, and his uncle Rick, alive but paralyzed and unable to take care of Dick.
- In the midst of this tragedy, Dick is taken in by Bruce Wayne, who had undergone a similar trauma. Under Bruce's guidance, Dick trained, and the two worked together, becoming the duo known as Batman and Robin, and even eventually bringing Zucco to justice.
- While Robin was the first sidekick to assist a major hero, more began to appear during the time Dick continued to train under Bruce's wing. In the four years he continued to be Robin, he had the opportunity to meet and befriend other heroes' sidekicks; Speedy (Green Arrow), Aqualad (Aquaman), and Kid Flash (Flash), the latter of whom he became especially fast friends with.
- When he was thirteen, Robin and the other sidekicks were invited to see the Hall of Justice, where their mentors worked with other members of the Justice League. However, it turns out the Hall of Justice was just a cover for the League's real base of operations, and the sidekicks were not allowed up to the Watchtower. Dislike being treated like children, Robin, Aqualad, and Kid Flash went to investigate a fire at a research lab called Cadmus, and discovered the clone of Superman.
- After taking down Cadmus' operations, the League respected the young heroes' desires to do something by creating Young Justice, a team who did covert ops assigned by the League. The team consisting of Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, the newly christened Superboy, and joined by the Martian Manhunter's niece, M'gann and, at a later date, Artemis (Green Arrow's new protege).
- Due to having the longest experience, Robin expected to be leader of the new team. However, because of working with Batman so long, and being able to anticipate the plans of and communicate with the Dark Knight without words, he wasn't able to fully communicate orders to the others. And despite still wanting to lead the team, Robin decided that Aqualad would make a better leader, and under Aqualad's guidance, Robin and the rest of the group become an efficient team, working together to complete their missions and unknowingly deal with a group known as The Light, who are pulling the strings in a lot of what they deal with.
- A disatrous mission simulation leaves the team slightly traumatized, and during a therapy session afterwards Robin confesses that he no longer desires to lead the team. Further, while he had always expected to grow up and become Batman one day, he realizes that he is unlike his mentor, and no longer wants to take up the mantle. These fears still persist, and even after successfully leading a mission of his own, Robin still carries doubts about taking charge of the team someday.
- After many missions, Young Justice and The Light finally have confront each other when The Light take control of the Justice League. The members of Young Justice manage to fight the League and eventually restore them back to themselves, but not without suffering some consequences.
